The Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) is a worldwide free and open community focused on improving the security of software software. Our mission is to make application security "visible," so that people and organizations can make informed decisions about application security risks. Everyone is free to participate in OWASP and all of our materials are available under a free and open software license.

OWASP have active local communities in 244 cities in 110 different countries. These local communities organize computer security events, presentations and trainings. All OWASP events are free for everyone to participate. Everyone is free to participate in OWASP and all of our materials are available under a free and open software license.  OWASP globally have more than 50 000 professionals as its members. We are globally supported by more than 55 global supporters and more than 25 academic institutions. OWASP organizes 4 AppSec conferences, one on each continent (Europe, Asia, Africa, America).

Local community in Belgrade, Serbia is active from 2012. Until now, OWASP Serbia organized and participated in more than 15 events.

OWASP also contributes to computer security world by producing open source security tools, applications, documentation, recommendations, software verification standards. All these projects are open source, innovative and vendor neutral. Security experts are invited to contribute to these projects.
